TASK FORCES
ERM SERVICES AND SUPPORTS

Mission

The Long Term Services and Supports Task Force addresses the services and supports that enable individuals with disabilities of all ages to live in their homes and communities. In particular, the Task Force focuses on Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), recognizing that they are the key to community integration, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for many people with disabilities and older adults. These critical services make it possible for people with disabilities and older adults to fully exercise their civil and human rights.

CCD MW Sign On Letter
The undersigned members of the CCD Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Task Force strongly urge you to ensure that any proposal to increase the minimum wage includes commensurate Medicaid funding for rate increases to cover those additional labor costs. In addition, we ask that you form a commission that includes people with disabilities and direct care workers to make certain that home and community-based services (HCBS) for people with disabilities and aging adults remain steadfast, and so that a workforce already in crisis does not face greater challenges.

Thank you for meeting with our organizations to discuss the disability community’s priorities for the Biden Administration. Our nation is currently home to more than 61 million people with disabilities, and this number grows every day. The disability community is incredibly diverse in both identity and experience. Disability is most prevalent in women and in Black, Indigenous, and people of color.
